Beaconhouse has joined hands with ‘Special Olympics Pakistan’, an International non-profit Organization dedicated to empowering individuals with intellectual disabilities, through sports. In collaboration with ACE SPORTS CORE, students of Beaconhouse Margalla Campus volunteered to play two 7-aside friendly football matches with the athletes of Special Olympics Pakistan, on 20th January’20. The purpose of this activity was to encourage sportsmanship in these individuals & build an inclusive society, where they are accepted as respected members of society.

The match was played in the competitive spirit and the athletes and students thoroughly enjoyed themselves. At the end, certificates were awarded to the Special Olympics athletes by Principal BMI, Ms. Ayesha Ansar. Similarly, student volunteers were presented Caps as souvenirs by the Special Olympics team. Such an activity is in line with the core values of Beaconhouse wherein spirit such as this is inculcated in its students in order to make them responsible global citizens.
