We are pleased to announce the Asma Jahangir Scholarship, a special opportunity for female O Level students to receive a 100% scholarship for the next two years in recognition of their academic potential. About the Scholarship

This scholarship has been launched in honour of the late Asma Jahangir, a pioneering lawyer and human rights activist, to empower young women to pursue excellence in education.

Eligibility

  • Gender: Female
  • Grade: A Levels & IBDP only
  • Academic Performance: Minimum B grades in O Level results
  • Community Engagement: Active involvement in community service or initiatives promoting social justice, gender equality, human rights, or supporting marginalised groups

Who Can Apply?

  • Female students of O3 pursuingĀ A Levels from BCP
  • Students with a proven record of academic dedication and active participation in school/community activities

Documents Required

Please have them ready before filling the form
  • Grade 11 Result
  • A Personal Statement (500 words) outlining your commitment to Asma Jahangir’s values
  • Proof of community engagement, such as collaboration with an organisation, social work or community project (SWOC) plans, Impact reports, or relevant supporting evidence, and Two Letters of recommendation from teachers or community leaders

Selection Process

  • Applications will be reviewed by a panel comprising DGM Education Operations, DGM Parent Satisfaction, and SM FinOps
  • Shortlisted candidates may be invited for an interview with DGM Education Operations and the Regional EdOps team
  • Final selection will be based on a holistic assessment of academic merit and commitment to community service
