Harvard Model United Nations is a four-day international relations simulation for high school students held annually in downtown Boston. The sixty-seventh session of Harvard Model United Nations was held from Thursday, January 30, to Sunday, February 02, 2020. More than 3,500 high school delegates and their faculty advisors gathered to address some of the world’s most pressing challenges.
Every year, HMUN attracts some of the most promising young leaders from around the world, and HMUN 2020 was no exception, for the second consecutive year a delegation of 5 students representing BahamasLibya, from Beaconhouse Northern Region attended the Harvard Model United Nation in Boston USA.
The international nature of the conference helped delegates certainly learn a lot from reading the meticulously researched background guides, and from discussion in committee, but so much of the educational value of this conference came from meeting hundreds of other young leaders from radically different backgrounds, from all over the world.
The students had a lifetime experience and learnt a great deal.
